In 2007 art centre Saksala ArtRadius
is invited to bring the exhibition of Eva Häkkinen to the Museum For the
History of Professional Education in St. Petersburg Russia. This museum gives a presentation of the way how education is developing in Russia from Peter the Great until these days. The exhibition with jewelry art shows the use of ordinary materials in a new way. Already for ages people are using for example fish skin and birch bark in daily life. The artist is giving a new and artistic meaning to these materials. It is interesting to see how these materials are transforming to a new meaning and intention. During the exhibition visitors can be very close to the objects to see all the details. The objects are not for sale. |
