An AIRNET program in the region of Eastern Finland
OBJECTIVES
(for the existing and for the new artist-in-residence activities in South Savo
region)
-to improve the operational environments of the artist-in-residence
activities:
facilities
networking
financing
new models for operations
-to improve the actors know-how on international operations
-to develop cooperation between residences and other actors in South Savo
(municipalities, art institutions, organizations, schools, business life)
-to workshop and education activities in residences in cooperation with Mikkelin
Polytechnic
-to increase the know-how on information technology, new media and media art

ACTIONS
-common marketing - make a plan for common marketing actions together with the
pilot residences
-study the possibility to make use of the information and media technology (with
a help from a specialist)
-arrange workshops and studies (for instance thesis work)

-how to connect tourism business and residence activities?
-establishing connection with residence activities and the local social context
