The main building exists of two wings in the middle part there was the dining room

an old map of the location

front side of the main building (from the south))

south from the main building the workmen's houses

    kotitalo

The workmen's houses were situated to the south of the main building and were build in the same traditional way as the most Finnish houses.
Together both buildings create something like a street.
In the left apartment was used by the coffin maker.

    huorola

In the back yard there was a separate building for the demented old people. They lived behind fences and even now people know what sad situation it was.

There still one aitta left, all others are demolished and disappeared in the past.

After the demolition a new apartment building for the workers and their families spring up. Many families have lived here and the children had have a peaceful and wonderful youth.
The building itself is not an example of new architecture and now a day it is already even old fashioned as the main building.
There are possibilities to renovate and give it a second life.

After moving the people to their new home in the centre of the village in 1989, the last buildings were empty. The municipality used them to house several groups, like weavers, music group, as a crèche and as a home for unsocial people and people who needs a temporary home.
In one part was working the furniture designer Peter Schmidt. He worked together with the carpenter in the old navetta.

The area degenerate the last years and people did not like to come. The main building was in a terrible condition the roof was bad and had to be renewed.
