As practice based researcher I attempt to create situations where the viewer can make certain realisations through the experience of my work. My practice is mostly concerned with alternative ways of living and thinking through ideas where the constructed nature of the Self plays an evident role.

When I arrived at Saksala ArtRadius I became aware of the absence of the immediate audience that so often forms part of my methodology. I started to investigate the continuous dialogue I had with myself and attempted to make a project that deals with this personal aspect of the Self in a more open and honest way. The landscape itself seemed to be ideal to use as a platform for creating a sense of presence through altering the space in subtle ways by only using the snow that already forms part of the space.
