investigation to the Finnish language in Etelä-Savo
A part of the paper work has been finished in the first half of the residence period.
The small house shows the typical elements of the environment of the art centre seen by Miyuki.

Traditionally in Japanese architecture, the space has been flexibly composed by paper wall. It is a traditional way of thinking of Japanese people.

The shape of a room changes according to the situation. I think the opposite is also true.
The communication will change the shape of the room, the shape of the room will change the communication.

I got cardboard from the coffee shop near my residency, and started to create the wall in the lobby, what is public space.

While I searched other material, I and my room mate visited the print company in Mikkeli. I was fortunate to got a lot of Bible paper from the company. One of the reasons why I came to Finland was the long history of paper industry of Finland.

I covered with the cardboard by Bible paper. Bible paper is very thin and beautiful. The layer of the cardboard has been changed into the wall with a beautiful surface.
Everything was never blended together, just only made layer...

It is my image of Finnish winter. I'm grateful for your help; Inkeri Kakkonen, St. Michel Print, Merja and Ari.

Inkeri KakkonenとSt.
