    Art World Converges on Boston The weekend of April 27 - 29 Boston will become the hub of the global arts community when TransCultural Exchange presents the 2007 Conference on International Opportunities in the Arts.

    Taking place at Northeastern University, the Massachusetts College of Art, the Boston Center for the Arts and MIT, this conference will help artists expand their goals and aspirations, gain greater cultural awareness and transmit their new found knowledge through their work.

    Representatives of international Consulates, the US State Department's ART in Embassies Program, the Fulbright Program, the German-American Exchange Program, CEC ArtsLink, the Trust for Mutual Understanding, ResArtis, and directors of residencies from over 30 countries—including Finland, Sweden, Romania, Taiwan, China, Hungary, Japan, Greece, Canada, Malta, Germany, Slovakia, Turkey, Estonia, Australia, Denmark, the Netherlands, South Africa, Belgium, Ireland, Brazil, Egypt, Cuba, the United Arab Emirates, India, Afghanistan and Russia—will be on hand to present their opportunities for artists to create and exhibit with their counterparts abroad.

    On Sunday April 29 the conference opens to the public with a panel on Biennials and Documenta.  Speaking on this panel are Ute Meta Bauer (Co-Curator of Documenta 11), Linda Norden (Commissioner of 2005 Venice Biennale), Yung Ho Chang (Venice Biennale Participant) and Talla Moulla (organizer of the Sixth Sharjah International Art Biennial, U.A.E.).
