The aim of the symposium is to refine
the basic layout of the present labyrinth. This layout has been designed
by Ulrika Sparre (Sweden) and Irene Anton (Germany) in 2007. Their
assignment was to organize the labyrinth in such a way as to leave space
for later refinements by other artists.
We have selected possible locations for site specific art to be
implemented during the symposium period. The works to be realized must
form a symbiosis with the environment of the labyrinth, but at the same
time they must function as an unexpected encounter for the observer.
The schedule which we advise for the coming symposium is 4 days for
deliberation and conception of the proposal which will be discussed with
us. After this initial phase there will be 1 week time to do the
practical work and fine-tune the allocated space(s). This work will
encompass the necessary clearing of brush and the building/construction
of the work/installation(s). Manual assistance will be organized by us
at that time.
