Nuclear energy in Finland
Stop 3 new nuclear power plants in Finland!!!

We already have two nuclear power plant complexes and the third is not yet ready, its completing has delayed over several years because of problems of many kind and the price is rising all the time.
Now the Finnish industry is asking for building permits of three new nuclear plants! We
don't need more nuclear power. The energy intensive industry is decreasing while the paper industry is removing there
factories abroad. The world wide demand is to invest to renewable energy sources and nuclear power is not that. It directs the resources away from the new modern solutions, which would bring us new
technology and jobs.
Finnish parliament is going to debate about these permits in summer 2010. Several environment
organizations and the most youth organizations have started a campaign against new permits. It is called "ÄÄnestä ydinvoima historiaan" (vote the nuclear power to the history). You can sign a commitment in internet, where you declare, that you will not vote in the next parliament elections those
candidates, who have voted for the new permission. Before the election you will get the information about the voting behavior of the
parliament members of your region.
