The sculptor Lucien den Arend has moved to Finland in 2003. He has his atelier and sculpture park Penttilä Gardens in Kangasniemi.
In the Netherlands he started the sculpture park 'Openlucht Museum Drechtoevers' in Zwijndrecht.
For many years he was chairman and secretary of the Dutch sculpture organization.

In Finland he is the founder of FOAM the new sculpture park in Haukivuori with contemporary sculptures.
He is also involved with the artistic part of art centre and co-organizer of the symposiums.
