In allerlei gedaanten keren zij steeds weer.

In December 2002 the
artist Jolanda Schouten cut her watercolors to pieces. She cut through
the surface of the drawings and in doing so she found a third dimension.
First she cut out enormous red poppies, black paint showers and
white-dotted red cushions. They were pinned to the walls. Insects,
plants, birds and people followed. Once the walls were covered, the
images invaded the space in the form of mobiles.
At that point three main actors were introduced: a man and two young
children. they reappeared continuously as different characters. The
artist has clearly introduced her own family into her art. Hanging on
silk thread, they sway with every breath of air. It is the visitor who
can start the movement.

ArtRadius houses also an international art education centre and
organizes workshops for teachers, school teams, by qualified artists and

As a part of her stay Jolanda works with the 7th class of Ylä-Aste in
Haukivuori to create with the youngsters their own object in 'who is
sitting next to me'. The art teacher Anna Toljamo assists her and
together they realized a good artistic level with them. The results are
exhibited in the
