The project ART ENLARGES THE AREA started on June 1 2006.
It is necessary to collect information and investigate the possibilities of many details in the project.
The tasks Elena Ignatieva did as a part of this EU-project were based on:
-collecting information about schools, teachers and education organization in Haukivuori, Pieksämäki, Juva, Mikkeli, Kangasniemi and Savonlinna
-making letters to send by email to schools, teachers and organizations
-translating into Finnish texts for the website, letters and announcements
-investigation of contacts for cooperating in the field of art education, professional art organizations and persons
-making proposals to build up a network to cooperate with different organizations in the field of art education.

She made different letters for teachers and contact them by phone to collect information about the way they are interested to cooperate as a private person, a teacher or as a school team in the art education programs of Saksala ArtRadius.
There were different meetings to discuss about a good strategy to get into this specific field.
After summer holiday this process will go on and now every one has had a personal contact it will be easier to continue.
The winter program art education is already introduced and with the connections of local authorities it the participation will grow.
In the field of teacher training colleges she contacts all the universities and finds the responsible persons for art education.
By making and sending letters to the teachers and students of the colleges they are all informed.
After summer holiday they will be contact further.
To make it easy for Finnish people to read the information on the website she translated different pages.
Now the pages about art education are accessible for more people.

Even after her stay she keeps in contact and advises about Finish organization structures and looks for activities which can take place in the art centre. She also starts international contacts in the field of high education.
