My first idea was to show a worker in the field who is receiving a rocket from an airplane. The image has to show the contradiction of war.
Sometimes I work with images taken from magazines, books, advertisements and for me. The image of this smiling woman was the right one for my wall drawing.
I have used the image of the woman as an universal image of a worker in the field.
The worker carrying a bomb creates a surrealistic atmosphere in relation to the painted letters of the alphabet, representing civilization, culture and education.
The composition is made as a drawing, with simple closed lines and pastel colors.

The female person in the wall painting is a well-known image on food package, the so called ELOVENA-TYTTÖ (the girl Elovena) a not existing person, but the personification of Finland.

The shape of Finland is like a woman dressed in a skirt. After the war some parts were taken away to Russia.

On the wall painting there are many layers of reality to see.
