    Just as in 2005 several art activities from art centre Saksala ArtRadius also in 2006 have been supported  by different foundations, organizations and companies.
    This year the EU-project ART ENLARGES THE AREA
     

    artist-in-residence   Arts Council Finland has given a grant for residence period winter 2005-2006.
    The period winter 2006-2007 is also granted.
    With this support the art centre invites artists in a supported program.
         
    labyrinth The labyrinth project starts in 2006 and is a part of the EU-project ART ENLARGES THE AREA.
    The newspaper Länsi-Savo is a great promoter of this project also supports it  during 2006 and 2007.
       

     

         
    symposium
    HOMO ERECTUS
    The ArtRadius Encouragement Fund has supported the 2006 symposium HOMO ERECTUS.
    Haukivuori municipality has given assistant with all kinds of tools and materials.
    It was possible to invite 6 international artists to work during 2 weeks in the art centre.
         
    children's forest As a part of the art education program the children's forest is in the EU-project ART ENLARGES THE ARES.
    With a grant from Arts Council Finland it was possible to start in 2006 with the children's forest.
    The local supermarket S-MARKET KARPALO has support different tools and equipments.

    ceramic experiences With different experimental workshops new fields in art education for young people are in the picture.
    The ceramic experiences are the start in this field of art education
       
         
    ART ENLARGES THE AREA The project ART ENLARGES THE AREA exists of :
    art education
    labyrinth
    preparing the stone symposium 2008

    With this project the cultural tourist traveling in the rural area of Etelä-Savo has to be developed.
         
    art education Art education is a core activity of the art centre and with the value collection child art from the Dutch AllaprimA Foundation a storehouse of information and investigation.
    Mikkeli Kaupunki supports the art education program of the art centre.
     
         
    preparing stone symposium 2008
     
    The stone symposium H-K 62º latitude in 2008 is a part of the EU-project ART ENLARGES THE AREA.
    The company Lemminkäinen in Mikkeli supports the preparation of this symposium to find the funding for it.
     
         
    tourism and logistic Creating a good area for tourism special experts are invites to support.
    The Dutch company de Jong Tours has different kind of expertise to support the development of this important part of the art centre.
